We hope that parents will contact the school whenever they have a matter
of concern.
Contacting Staff
|
If you wish to discuss the progress or welfare of your child,
please contact the appropriate Head of Year. For routine
matters please send a note with your child to the tutor. Subject
matters may be taken up with the Heads of Departments, and other
questions with those with special responsibilities who are listed
on the following pages.

Visits and Appointments
|
If you wish to meet any member of staff we
ask you to make an appointment. However, there is usually a senior
member of staff at the front of school available to take up any
urgent matter that may arise, and the Head and Deputies are generally
able to talk briefly with parents between 8.15 and 8.45 am.

Telephone Calls
Dedicated Absence Phone Line |
The School Office is open to receive telephone calls between 8.30
am and 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday (8.30 am to 4.00 pm Friday). If staff are not
immediately available, we ask you to leave a message or to arrange
with the receptionist a suitable time to contact them.
Please call this dedicated phone line to report your child's absence from school through sickness or medical appointments
If we do have an unexplained absence, letters are sent out to parents from the main office. If you receive one of these IT IS REALLY IMPORTANT THAT IT IS RETURNED otherwise your son/daughter runs the risk of having an unauthorised absence on their record.
Please do not use this number for holidays or anything else. It is purely to report absence through sickness or medical appointments.

Messages for pupils
|
If sent during the morning, messages will be placed in registers
to be given to children in the afternoon. Please note that is is not always easy to contact children during school so this facility should only be used when absolutely necessary. We shall,
of course, make every effort to contact any child immediately in a case of emergency.
|
Use of School Buildings
|
If you wish to use any school buildings or facilities during evenings and weekends please contact the school office. A leaflet
giving the scale of charges and available times can be obtained
from the office.
